Playwright Bienvenido M. Noriega, Jr. was recently nominated for the Order of National Artist in Theater. Not just one but 5 institutions nominated him for the award.
Foremost among them is Ateneo de Manila University. In nominating playwright Bienvenido M. Noriega Jr., Father Roberto Yap, President of Ateneo de Manila said “ Playwright Noriega is highly deserving of the honor and in fact has exceeded the challenging requirements for the award”
Other institutions who nominated him are UP School of Economics Alumni Association, Harvard Kennedy School Alumni Association, St. Anthony School Alumni Association and Alpha Sigma Fraternity Alumni Association.
