Escaping from Taal - en route to Japan

We expected a chaotic situation at the airport with the Taal eruption. We were pleasantly surprised that everything was so orderly and we breezed through the check in and boarding. PAL staff really exceptional as always. We will spend 2 nights in Tokyo and finally homeward bound to Vancouver. Missing home and family especially our apo Braeden.

Mission accomplished. We arrived and had a blast when we attended the clan reunion in Tagaytay. Now we are leaving literally with a big bang from the Taal eruption. Praise the Lord, we missed the Taal eruption by a week when we attended the clan reunion in Tagaytay. It had been a series of reunions, lunches and dinners. While we were able to quickly catch up with family, friends, colleagues and classmates, our limited stay did not come close to meeting them all. It is getting harder and harder to say hello and goodbye. In our many travels in the past, come and go had not been that difficult. Now that we are getting older, the thought of not seeing them again is getting closer to reality. We were so light hearted and happy to see everyone when we arrived but it is with heavy heart to leave. Nonetheless, knowing our immediate family and apo Braeden are waiting in Vancouver provides the spark for our excitement and eagerness to come home.
