Day 8 - Southeast Asian Cruise

Updated: Jan 18, 2021

It is disembarkation day. Time to say good bye to Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. We completed packing after dinner last night and put outside our luggages for pick up before 11 pm. We woke up at 5 am and ate breakfast at 6 am and went straight to Jamie’s Grill for wheelchair assistance. RCI really knows how to take care of its senior passengers. Becky was wheeled all the way to the pick up area. Becky’s nephew - Jonas and his beautiful wife, Thyda and really smart and pretty 4 year old daughter, Blythe met us there. The transport system in Singapore is awesome. Jonas probably used an app and within 3 minutes, there was already a Grab vehicle waiting for us. There is really no need to have a private car here as the public transport is so efficient. It was a special quick meet up. We had late breakfast together and short catch up conversations. We were really impressed with Jonas’ plans of developing his beach front property in Coron, Palawan. Perhaps some time, we can visit the place. Upon checking in, Becky was again wheeled to the Special Services Lounge where we awaited boarding time. Singapore Changi airport is really impressive - very clean and orderly. PAL boarding was fast and efficient. Attendants as always warm and helpful. Back to Pinas again in a few hours.
