Well this is not the movie. We will be literally out of Africa by today. We will be taking Emirates from Johannesburg to Dubai, then to Seattle and finally heading home to Vancouver
We did a short exit Safari in the morning and proceeded to Johannesburg. Along the way, we took a cable car up to a restaurant on top of the mountain and had a late lunch there. The view from the top was awesome. We could see the skylines of both Johannesburg and Pretoria.
We are now at the OR Tambo International airport, the biggest airport in Africa. Becky needs to be on a wheelchair as she has difficulty walking long distance. It was an advantage in a way as assisted passengers can breeze through security without the huge line ups. We are less anxious now after getting into the lounge. There are still another 2 hours before boarding time and just raring now to get home. Praise the Lord, we had a safe and enjoyable trip but a physically challenging one. Another one off our bucket list. We had enough with the wild animals and looking forward in the near future to play with the penguins. Antarctica here we come!
