t was a lazy Tuesday for us. No shore excursions today. Time to rest my aching knees. We woke up late and had breakfast at the main dining area.
It was also a chance to explore the ship. Quantum of the Seas has 18 decks and a capacity of almost 5000 passengers. We started at the 15th deck checking the sports activity center and the pools. We went outside and saw the Norwegian Jade anchored near us. Our other CFC brothers and sisters (Orcullo) are in this cruise ship.
We planned to walk around but just a short time later, rested by the comfortable chair before us so Butch can check his emails. In no time...he was snoring and sleeping like a baby. A perfect quiet spot for sleeping.
After his power nap, we proceeded to the Bionic bar (still closed) where drinks are prepared and mixed by robotic arms. Next stop was the Boleros Karaoke bar and this is where Butch who claims to be my number one fan, personal photographer, caregiver, driver and executive tsimoy rolled into one has been egging me to sing. At the Western Carribean cruise in 2011, I was crazy enough to sing “Crazy” at the Karaoke bar. We passed by as well at the Royal Caribbean Loyalty Desk to check on discounts given to Royal Crown and Anchor Society members. There was one discounted cruise that got me interested but this will probably be for 2021.
We stopped for coffee and donuts at the Cafe Promenade then got back to our room to nap again.
Lunch was at the Winjammer buffet where we reconnected with Elmer and Dang, then Butch and Carol Aguilar.
We had our early dinner as usual with the group at the main dining room. Everyone were reenergized and stories of what and where the rest of the group spent their wonderful time yesterday (Thai massage, street food, authentic Thai food, Phuket Night life, etc).
And after dinner, I finally got my nerves in place, went to the Karaoke bar. I would have wanted to sing “Be my baby” but it was not in their list of songs so I sang instead “Angel of the Morning”. And to cap the night, we watched the headliner show- Sequins and Feathers.
