A gruelling road trip

It was a gruelling 41 hour road trip from Vancouver to Los Angeles. We stayed overnight at Clearlake, Nice near Napa valley at the border of Oregon and California. The morning after, we drove to Alamo where we had lunch in the beautiful house of our first cousin, Tony and wife Arleen. Not only did he provide us a sumptuous lunch, he treated us as well with a guided tour of San Francisco focusing on the essentials like the Golden Gate, crookedest street, fisherman's wharf, Alcatraz etc considering the limited time we had. We arrived at our sibling Babette and Carlo's house in LA at around 1:30 am. We had our other sibling Bel and husband Ernie waiting for us so all living siblings for the first time in many years and under enjoyable circumstances got together in North America. With a few hours sleep, off we went to Disneyland and the dream of being in the happiest place on earth finally came true. And to cap the day, we had dinner with our other first cousin, Joey and wife Cecile in their awesome house in Orange County. Very generous to the hilt, each sibling lady got a coach bag and playing money for our Las Vegas trip tomorrow. We are all exhausted but seemingly not felt as every moment spent together was enjoyable, amazing and fun.

All quiet now at the Las Vegas front. Life and business must go on. After that horrific incident Sunday night, we still need to find a way to enjoy our stay in Vegas. And while we continue to sympathize with the victims and their families, we did have some fun. We watched last night "Legends in concert" and the performers were almost as good as the originals. We were awed by the music of Frank Sinatra, Michael Jackson, Elvis and Cher. We did some casino hopping and we had the chance to play in the major casinos. What they enjoyed most was the buffet lunch at the Paris Casino. Next stop are the factory outlets before we drive back to LA tonight.
